Degree Programmes dataset 24/25

The purpose of this dataset is to document and present a comprehensive overview of all degree programmes offered at Šiauliai State University of Applied Sciences (SVAKO) during the 2024-2025 academic year. By collecting data on study programmes, student demographics, gender distribution, and age groups, the dataset serves as a practical tool for strategic planning, institutional development, and informed decision-making within the university. Additionally, the dataset supports transparency and knowledge sharing within the NEOLAiA alliance by providing a clear picture of SVAKO’s educational offer and student population.

This dataset presents a structured overview of 22 degree programmes delivered across 6 departments at SVAKO, with a total of 1,736 enrolled students for the 2024-2025 period. The programmes span diverse fields, including management and communication, business and accounting, engineering sciences, computer science, transport engineering, biomedicine, rehabilitation, and social work. All 22 programmes lead to a Bachelor’s degree, with 21 programmes at EQF level 6 and one programme at EQF level 5.

The dataset includes detailed information for each programme: the department responsible for delivery, national and international classification codes (ISCED), the European Qualifications Framework level, the number of enrolled students broken down by gender (1,038 female and 698 male students), age distribution (303 students aged 20 or younger, 1,178 aged 21-40, and 255 aged over 40), and the geographical coordinates of the campus location where each programme is taught.

This dataset was created to promote institutional transparency and facilitate evidence-based analysis of educational programme offerings and student enrolment patterns. It serves to provide insights into the composition of the student body, supporting strategic planning for programme development and contributing to broader research on higher education trends in Lithuania and across Europe.

The dataset aligns with open science principles and supports comparative analysis across higher education institutions. All data has been gathered from official student enrolment records maintained by the University Study Accounting Department of Šiauliai State University of Applied Sciences. The information represents verified administrative data extracted from institutional databases, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
