The University of Ostrava offers its students opportunities to broaden their horizons at a variety of other universities outside of the Czech Republic. Similarly, students from these partnered universities are able to visit the UO as well, forming a rich and vast exchange programme.
In terms of outgoing students, mobility programmes seem to be most popular among attendees of the English Philology course of study, with 25 students having travelled abroad in the academic year 2024-2025. This course is closely followed by Intermedia Work with 23 outgoing students.
The NEOLAiA alliance likewise plays a role as 23 outgoing students have made use of mobility programmes at alliance universities in 2024/25.
Spain, South Korea and the Netherlands have seen the highest numbers of students travelling to the University of Ostrava in AY 2024/2025, with 219 out of the total of 570 incoming students arriving from the three countries.
NEOLAiA universities have also attributed for 91 of the incoming students for this academic year.
Overall, these numbers show that mobility programmes at the University of Ostrava are maintaining their popularity and continue to foster collaboration between the universities involved.
