The University of Ostrava continues to maintain its network of EU-funded projects in 2026. Similarly to the previous year, Erasmus+ programmes are in the lead in terms of both quantity and popularity, with the primary focus being on mobility programmes for students and staff alike. This not only helps the UO reinforce its international partners and contacts, but also grants students and employees unique to venture abroad.
However, regularly renewed student and staff exchanges are not the only projects supported within the Erasmus+ programme at the UO. As of the 1st of January, 2026, the UO is taking part in Empowering Social Work Practice Education in Nepal, an international effort by 7 universities and associations aimed at enhancing the development of social work as a profession in Nepal. Another Erasmus+ project of note is the NEOLAiA, in which the UO continues to take active part.
Lastly, the UO is taking part in two ongoing HORIZON call projects, the first one being I4WORLD focused on building a robust infrastructure for high-quality doctoral training, and the second one being PARC, an EU-wide partnership programme supporting EU and national chemical risk assessment and management.
Overall, the University of Ostrava continues its efforts to form lasting and impactful international partnerships through EU-funded projects.
