University Degree Programs Dataset- Šiauliai State University of Applied Sciences

Degree Programmes dataset 2023-2024 aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the active study programmes of Šiauliai State University of Applied Sciences for the 2023-2024 academic year. Šiauliai State University of Applied Sciences has created a comprehensive dataset that provides valuable insights into student enrolment for the 2023-2024 academic year. This data includes basic demographic information such as gender, age and specific academic programmes, providing a clearer picture of the number of students at the university. The dataset includes statistics such as the distribution of UO students by gender and age, types of study courses, as well as EQF and ISCED identifiers for individual programmes.

In terms of age, the majority of students across all faculties fall into the 21–40 age group (87.4%).

The survey showed that the majority of students are women and this trend continues year after year.

Further breakdown of the figures shows that gender-related study choices can be observed in many university courses. Men are a gender minority, for example in social science programmes and nursing education. Women continue to be a gender minority in engineering and systems science programmes. Part-time students are most often over 40 years old.

There are also a number of younger (≤20 years old) students. This suggests that most students enter university immediately after completing their pre-university studies.

Gender and age-related study choices are influenced by a number of factors, some of which the university cannot control, such as socioeconomic status and parental education.

Looking at the dataset, it is immediately clear that nursing has the largest number of students – 222, followed by social work 193 students and Business analytics and Systems administracion have the fewest students.
