Örebro University is, as of June 2026, involved in 25 EU-funded projects for the 2021–2027 period, taking on roles as a beneficiary, coordinator and associated partner.
The University is participating in 17 research projects funded by the Horizon Europe programme. These projects span a wide range of topics, from precision nutrition strategies to urban transformation driven by citizen participation and inclusivity.
Through Erasmus funding, the University is involved in five projects. One of these is NEOLAiA, which has received support through the Erasmus European Universities Initiative. In spring 2026, the University was also awarded funding for an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s programme together with the University of Belgrade and LUMSA University in Palermo. This joint programme focuses on law, with a special emphasis on gender, intersectionality and diversity.
The remaining three projects have received funding from other EU programmes: two under the Justice Programme and one under the Digital Europe Programme.
