In July 2025 we published a first overview of the participation of the University of Salerno in European Union funded research projects for the 2021–2027 programming period. That post presented a dataset designed to highlight the University’s growing engagement in international research collaboration and innovation.
Since then, the dataset has been updated and is now available in a second version (v2.0 – February 2026). The update introduces a limited number of changes: a few newly funded projects have been added, while several initiatives included in the previous release have now reached completion.
Overall, the updated dataset includes 54 EU-funded projects (versus the previous 47) involving the University of Salerno, spanning different programmes and research domains. At the time of this update, most projects are still ongoing (36) , while a number have already been successfully concluded (18).
Although the changes compared with the previous release are relatively small, maintaining an updated dataset is important for monitoring the evolution of international research activities and ensuring transparency about participation in European funding programmes.
The dataset continues to support several objectives:
- providing an overview of UNISA’s participation in EU-funded projects
- facilitating analysis of international research collaboration
- supporting open science and transparency in research activities
This updated version will serve as the basis for future monitoring activities and may be expanded further as new projects start during the 2021–2027 programme period.
