The Stefan cel Mare University from Suceava promotes Erasmus+ student mobility

The Ștefan cel Mare University from Suceava actively uses ERASMUS+ projects to promote international academic mobility. These initiatives encourage students to apply for opportunities to study abroad and experience diverse educational systems and institutional practices. The two datasets present statistics from the 2024/2025 academic year on incoming and outgoing students participating in mobility programs.

 

Examining the outgoing International Mobility dataset, we can see that, during the 2024/2025 academic year, students from the Ștefan cel Mare University of Suceava primarily chose destinations focused on traditional coursework. The most popular destinations were Poland, Greece, Italy, Portugal, and Germany. Exams were the dominant academic activity, involving 95% of students. In contrast, internships were rare, with only three participants—two in Germany and one in Poland. One student in Greece engaged in a combined thesis/ internship, marking the only such case. No student pursued thesis work alone.

In the 2024/2025 academic year, Spain and Turkey were the top countries of origin for incoming students at the Stefan cel Mare University of Suceava, each contributing 29% of the total, followed by Portugal with 13%.

The academic focus was overwhelmingly on exams, with 97% of incoming students participating in exam-based activities. No students engaged in thesis work or combined academic formats. Only one student from Turkey—3% of the total—took part in an internship, highlighting the limited role of practical training.

The data from the 2024/2025 academic year reveals a strong preference for exam-based academic activities among both incoming and outgoing students with limited integration of research or practical components.
