These projects cover a broad spectrum of fields, including digital transition, climate, energy, education, and cultural heritage. From the topics covered in the research projects, it is easy to unveil UJA’s vision and values, such as the promotion of inclusion (e.g., FreeAll, SPADS, UPWELL projects). The University of Jaén is committed to the region, and the development of sustainable agricultural practices related to olive groves is one of the main research areas (e.g., LIFE Olivares Vivos +, SOIL O-LIVE, LivingSoiLL, OliveOilMedNet projects). Another major area of research is related to the top research performed at UJA in energy (e.g., REFFECT AFRICA, CRETE VALLEY, BeyondBattRec, RePowerSiC projects).

The participation of UJA in the EU-funded projects collected in this dataset reflects the strong commitment of this institution to the Sustainable Development Goals, environmental responsibility, equity, and inclusion in higher education in Europe.
