The University of Ostrava participates in a number of EU-Funded projects, fostering international and local cooperation through these long-standing international initiatives. First, the University is part of the NEOLAiA project which joins nine European universities in a mutual effort to develop the participating institutions and their respective regions over the course of the project’s duration.
Multiple fields and activity types are covered within the project, and the University hosts and participates in a variety of in-person events dedicated to NEOLAiA’s individual work packages and goals.
Furthermore, the UO participates in two separate HORIZON projects, one focusing on the development and support of doctoral students and doctoral training infrastructure and the other focusing on chemical risk assessment.
However, most of the UO’s international project participation lies in its network of ERASMUS+ projects covering a range of mobility programmes spanning multiple funding periods and academic years. These projects allow the University’s students and staff to broaden their horizons by travelling to other institutions and countries in both physical and blended mobility programmes.
