Student mobility is an important part of the internationalisation work at Örebro University. Each academic year, more than 350 exchange students from all over the world choose to study at Örebro University, while some 150 students from Örebro study abroadMost students participate in exchange studies within Europe through Erasmus+ or outside of Europe through bilateral agreements.
These datasets contain information regarding incoming and outgoing students in the academic year 2023/2024. The data is withdrawn from Ladok, the Swedish study documentation system.
The 360 incoming students in the dataset come from universities in 34 different countries. The most well represented countries are Germany (100 students), France (53 students) and Czech Republic (28 students). 89 of the incoming students originate from universities within the NEOLAiA alliance. Approximately two thirds of incoming students are female.
The dataset on outgoing students shows that the 151 students are mainly at bachelor or master’s level. The most common courses of study for the outgoing students are within the field of business and economics (38 students), law and legal science (24 students) and engineering (22 students) and. The most popular country for outgoing student mobility is France (23 students). 15 outgoing students choose to study at other NEOLAiA universities.
Örebro University has an explicit goal to significantly increase the number of incoming and outgoing students. The university also continues developing various forms of activities, such as virtual mobility and blended mobility, opening more inclusive possibilities.
